MAIR IN DISGUISE
|
Its Halloween tonight, said Mair's mother. It's full moon, a time when the witches ride on their broomsticks. A lot of nonsense, said her father. Anyway, Mair is going to a fancy dress party tonight in the village hall. Im going as a witch, said Mair. Yes, said her mother, so we had better start making the witchs costume. I shall make a black cloak for you, said her mother, and we'll make a hat out of cardboard and paint it black. Here are scissors, cardboard and paint.
When everything was finished it did look good, especially the hat, and that evening Mair put it all on. Ill win first prize, Ill look just like a witch, she told her mother. Where is your black crayon, mummy? Ill put some on my face too, to make me more like a witch. |
