MAIR STARTS SCHOOL

Mair was going to school. She had gone before when she was very very little but she hadn’t liked it, so her mother said she was a bit young anyway so she would go when she was a bit older. And here she was on her way carrying her new pencil case full of brightly coloured pencils.

This is your class, said her mother, and then her mother spoke to the teacher. Goodbye Mair, I’ll come and meet you at three o’clock, she said. Come this way, said the teacher, and took Mair into a big room.
